Successful Event on Empowering Women for Peace and Security: Uniting Voices, Catalyzing Change.

[Quezon City, August 9, 2023] – Last Wednesday marked a remarkable occasion as more than 100 women leaders and youth advocates gathered at Dimalupig Hall A, AFPCOC Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City to participate in an event dedicated to empowering women and celebrating the vital contributions of youth leaders. The event, organized by the Women’s Alliance for Security and Peace (WASP), showcased the power of collaboration and the potential for positive change when women and young leaders unite.



The event, held on August 9, 2023, brought together diverse attendees, including representatives from various youth organizations and women leaders from different sectors. The diverse backgrounds and experiences of the participants enriched the discussions and highlighted the shared goal of advancing women's rights, leadership, and meaningful participation in various fields.



WASP places equal emphasis on women and youth leaders, underscoring the significance of intergenerational cooperation in propelling societal advancement. The energetic ambiance underscored attendees' dedication to tackling obstacles, exchanging insights, and collaboratively striving for a future characterized by inclusivity and fairness.


"We are so thankful sa mga women organizations na nandyan kayo because if hindi niyo i-voice out, hindi rin napapansin ng gobyerno kung ano yung kailangan ng mga babae.“ said Major Cath Jubas of the Civil Relations Service Armed Forces of the Philippines (CRSAFP). "


The event underscored the power of united efforts among women and youth leaders, demonstrating their capacity to catalyze positive change in our society."



Over the course of the event, participants partook in captivating dialogues, stimulating talks, and hands-on sessions aimed at delving into a range of topics including leadership, gender parity, and the empowerment of young individuals. Distinguished speakers and specialists added an extra layer of value, contributing precious perspectives and igniting impactful exchanges.



A notable highlight of the occasion was the panel discussion that showcased the insights of youthful leaders and women advocates. They offered their perspectives on critical matters and the pivotal role that young individuals play in shaping an improved tomorrow. The event also served as a hub for forging connections, enabling like-minded attendees to establish valuable networks based on shared aspirations.
